In 2026, we are proud to celebrate ECO-UNESCO’s 40th anniversary, a meaningful milestone that marks four decades of environmental action, education, and youth empowerment. Over the years, our work has been shaped by the passion, creativity, and commitment of the many young people, educators, and communities we have engaged with. As we reflect on this journey, we are taking the time to look back on the impact we have made together, recognising the stories, achievements, and moments that have defined ECO-UNESCO over the past 40 years.

At the same time, this anniversary is not only about looking back, it is also about looking ahead. Guided by our 4-year Strategic Plan, we are focused on the future, continuing to evolve and strengthen our work in response to today’s environmental challenges. As part of our celebrations, we are collecting 40 impact stories from those who have been part of our journey, helping to showcase the lasting influence of our programmes. Alongside this, we have a range of exciting initiatives planned throughout the year, as we celebrate our legacy while shaping the next chapter of ECO-UNESCO.
