Finance & Corporate Services Manager
ECO-UNESCO is seeking an experienced Finance & Corporate Services Manager to lead the organisation’s financial management and oversee key corporate services. Reporting to the National Director, this strategic and operational role will ensure strong financial governance, compliance, risk management and organisational support, helping to underpin the delivery of ECO-UNESCO’s mission to empower young people through environmental education and action.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, reporting, audits and financial compliance.
- Oversee governance, risk management and organisational policies.
- Manage grant funding administration, financial records and accounts.
- Support corporate services, including IT, Salesforce CRM, and facilities management.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO, Senior Management Team and Board.
- Ensure efficient day-to-day financial operations while maintaining strong internal controls and organisational effectiveness.

3 Regional Development Officers - Ulster / Connacht / Munster
Regional Development Officer Opportunities – Ulster / Connacht / Munster
ECO-UNESCO is currently recruiting three Regional Development Officers to support the growth and delivery of our environmental education and youth programmes across the island of Ireland, with dedicated regional roles in Ulster, Connacht and Munster.
These exciting field-based positions will play an important role in expanding the reach and impact of sustainability education in schools, youth groups and communities. The successful candidates will work closely with educators, Local Authorities, Education and Training Boards, community organisations and young people to deliver high-quality environmental programmes, workshops and training opportunities.
The roles will involve partnership building, programme coordination and delivery, outreach, training and supporting the strategic growth of ECO-UNESCO’s work regionally.
We are looking for proactive and organised individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience working with young people or in education, and a passion for environmental sustainability and youth empowerment.
Role Details
Full-time, 35 hours per week
2-year fixed term contract (*subject to ongoing funding)
Remote / field-based roles with occasional office attendance
Flexibility required, including some evening and weekend work

External Chairperson of Education and Training Committee
ECO-UNESCO is currently seeking Expressions of Interest for the voluntary role of External Chairperson of our Education and Training Committee.
This is a governance-focused position, offering a valuable opportunity to contribute to the quality and integrity of our QQI-accredited education and training programmes (NFQ Levels 3–6).
As Chair, you will provide independent leadership to the Committee, supporting oversight of academic standards, programme quality, and learner supports, while ensuring compliance with QQI quality assurance requirements. The Committee plays a key role in advising our Board of Directors and ensuring that education and training decisions remain independent, robust, and learner-focused.
We are particularly interested in individuals who:
• Have experience within the Further Education and Training (FET) sector
• Bring governance experience, ideally including chairing committees or boards
• Hold a minimum NFQ Level 8 qualification in a relevant discipline
• Have an understanding of quality assurance frameworks, including QQI
• Are independent of ECO-UNESCO and aligned with our mission and values
Role details:
• Voluntary position
• Quarterly meetings (primarily online, with occasional in-person meetings in Dublin)
