2026: YEAR 2 IN ECO-UNESCO'S 4-YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN
ECO-UNESCO is entering not only its 40th year as an organisation, but also its second year of its four-year Strategic Plan (2025-2028). The Plan sets out clear and ambitious framework for the organisation’s work over the coming years.
At its core, the strategy focuses on equipping young people with knowledge, confidence, and support to become active global citizens and leaders in environmental and sustainability action, while adapting to the ever-changing urgent challenges facing the planet today.
The Strategic Plan provides both direction and accountability for ECO-UNESCO, ensuring that its programmes continue to evolve, impact and respond to the needs of young people and their future. Through this framework, ECO-UNESCO aims to be Ireland’s leading organisation for environmental education, education for sustainable development and youth-led action.
