What?
Green Pathways II, funded under the Momentum initiative, is your path to employment through professional environmental and motivational training, a valuable work placement experience and on the job supports.
Green Pathways is a 27 week, full-time programme with FETAC accredited training; a hands on work placement providing a ‘foot in the door’ to potential employers; an applied learning project; 1-to-1 mentoring; ongoing and post-delivery supports including jobs clubs. Accredited Training modules include: Work Experience (FETAC L5); Sustainable Development (FETAC L5); and Ecology in the Environment (FETAC L6). Additional motivational training is provided.
Who?
If you are unemployed for more than 1 year and receiving a Jobseekers Allowance then you may be eligible for Green Pathways II – Environmental Studies and Skills. The programme has a strong under-25s focus but is open to all ages in particular those with an interest in the green economy.
- Partitipants should have an interest in the environment along with functional literacy and numeracy skills.
- Those qualifying without a Leaving Certificate NFQ 4 qualification must be able to demonstrate competency in literacy and numeracy through previous work/life experience.
Jobs
The Green Economy is an increasingly important and emerging job space which is opening up employment opportunities in a number of areas. The training provided will allow participants take up employment in positions such as gardeners, horticulturists, ecologists,environmental consultants, project officers as well as other specialists in the green economy.

The programme takes place at C2 Complex, Collins Square, Benburb Street, Dublin 7
How?
You must apply through your local Department of Social Protection DSP Employment Services/Intreo office. The course code is LM18X.
