Professor Patrick McKeever, UNESCO

ECO-UNESCO was delighted to welcome Professor Patrick McKeever, UNESCO´s Chief of Section at the Global Earth Observation Section and Secretary of the International Geoscience Programmee, to Dublin, for ECO-UNESCO’s 2015 Young Environmentalist Awards.

Mr. McKeever provided the keynote address at the 2015 Young Environmentalist Awards which was held in the Mansion House, Dublin on May 13th. Professor Patrick McKeever met with many of the finalists during his visit and also presented a number of awards including the Biodiversity and Waste Categories, the Overall Junior, Overall Senior and Super Junior Awards.

Minister Seán Sherlock

Minister of State at Department of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Seán Sherlock TD was present at this year’s Young Environmentalist Awards. Minister Sherlock addressed the audience and also presented a number of Awards including the Energy, Local to Global, Climate Change and Junior Biodiversity categories.
