On 23 January at 3pm, ECO-UNESCO will launch their flagship ‘Youth for Sustainable Development’ programme at the
Youth Work Ireland Meath centre in St. Mary’s Church Grounds, Navan.
The Youth for Sustainable Development programme is aimed at 15-18 year olds across Ireland and consists of a 12 week
workshop series where participants can explore:
- sustainable development
- global issues
- the environment
- how they can take action for positive change
Speaking on the launch, YSD Regional Coordinator Kieran Allen said:
“We’re super grateful to Youth Work Ireland Meath for partnering with us on this project and we’re absolutely buzzing
to be setting up in Navan. It’s a great town and we can’t wait to get stuck in. “
Interested in taking part? Kieran is looking for volunteers to work on the programme as well as young people who would like to take part.
The ideal volunteer will be:
-Aged 18 and over
-Seeking experience in youth work
-Have an interest in sustainability issues
Participants will be:
-Aged 15-18
-Curious to learn more about sustainability
-Looking to make lots of new friends
