About the course:

Using interesting and engaging methodologies associated with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), this course provides primary school teachers with new approaches, practical skills and resources for developing environmental education activities both inside and outside the classroom. By exploring concepts such as place-based education, connecting with nature and a framework for developing environmental projects, this training will provide participants with a fun and effective child-centred approach to environmental education.

The course covers the following topics:

  • Climate Change
  • Waste
  • Outdoor Education Daytrip (Free of charge)
  • Water
  • Action Project Planning

 

This course may also be useful for junior cycle teachers or youth leaders working with children aged 9-15.
