ECO-UNESCO’s Youth for Sustainable Development (YSD) Programme engages young people in a fun, interactive way in learning about environmental, sustainability and global issues. The programmeis run through a flexible, needs-driven training process which includes workshops, facilitation practice, and an action project.

 

The YSD programme has been successfully running as anafter-school programme for 11 years in Dublin and in 2017 four new regional clubs were rolled out.

 

The programme complements many Government strategies including the DES National Strategy on Education for Sustainable Development, DCCAE ‘Our Sustainable Future’ and the Envrionmental Protection Agency’s own strategy, among others.
